Traveling for stem cell therapy should be stress-free. This guide explains how to use the Medical FastPass (Cruce Ágil) to bypass general traffic and return to the USA in as little as 15–30 minutes.

1. What is the Medical FastPass?

The "Cruce Ágil" (Medical Lane) is a dedicated lane at the San Ysidro port of entry for medical tourists. Our clinic provides this digital or physical pass to our patients after their treatment.

(Pdf format on your phone and or Paper format to show at booth.)

2. Required Documents for 2026

Ensure you have the following ready before reaching the booth:

  • The Medical Pass
    Issued by our clinic.

  • WHTI-Compliant ID
A U.S. Passport Card, SENTRI, or Global Entry card is required
for the electronic readers in the FastPass lane.

  • Patient ID
Keep your clinic appointment confirmation handy.

(Good to have at booth but necessary at the actual border)

3. Step-by-Step Navigation to the Lane

The Medical Lane entrance is separate from the standard “All Traffic” or “Ready” lanes.

Step 1: Exit the Clinic

Head towards To Tijuana

Your map should look like this going along side the coast, taking the toll road >>

Step 3: The Entrance

Enter via Calle José María Velazco. It is located near the Tijuana Palacio Municipal (City Hall).

Step 2: Follow the Blue Signs

Once in that area look for the “Servicios Médicos / FastPass” signs (white letters on a blue background).

Step 4: The Booth

Show your pass to the municipal officer. Once scanned, the gate will open to the dedicated lane leading directly to the U.S. Customs booths.

4. Important Border Tips

  • Lane Availability
The lane is open 24/7, but we recommend crossing between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM for the fastest transit.

  • Declaring Medication
If you are bringing supplements or medication home, keep them in their original packaging with the prescription provided by our doctors.

  • FMM (Traveler Permit)
Ensure your FMM is valid for your date of return.
